Fibre To The Home

Head End & PON Construction
SphereComms works in conjunction with Developers and Telecommunications Carriers to design & construct all of the required components. This includes the civil works “Pit and Pipe” installation, the Fibre Optic cable hauling, right through to installing the Passive Optical Network (PON) hardware that makes up a Fibre to the Home (FTTH) system. We build and test Head Ends and install road side cabinets to house remote equipment. SphereComms installs the FTP’s, splitters, enclosures, drop cables and customer taps as well as splices and tests all of the Fibre Optic cabling necessary to light each home. We also offer preventative maintenance services and perform PON upgrades or extensions on request.
Customer Connections
SphereComms provides connection services from the network pit outside through to the customer residence. We can install customer lead in conduits and cabling from the network point to the Optical Network Unit (ONU). This ONU can be installed and commissioned inside or outside the home and have optional battery backup provided. SphereComms can cater for any further customer cabling requested and our services in this regard are outlined on our Smart Wiring page.
